Brasil derrotó a Irlanda por 2-0 en un partido amistoso previo a la Copa del Mundo, Keith Andrews metió un gol en propia meta, seguido por Robinho en la segunda mitad.

Exactamente 100 días antes del primer partido de la Copa del Mundo, Brasil produjo una impresionante segunda mitad de pantalla después de un lento comienzo en la primera parte.

Se han puesto a la venta cuatro mil entradas a disposición del público para la presentación de Robinho hoy Lunes, en Vila Belmiro que ya están agotadas. Ayer Domingo (31 de Enero), el Club promovió en el mismo Estádio Urbano Caldeira, un intercambio de alimentos en conserva para consumo inmediato (embutidos, atún, sardinas, maíz, etc.) a cambio de una entrada para la presentacion, el total recaudado será donado a las víctimas de los terremotos en Haití.

Para los miembros del Club, a cambio del billete para una lata de comida para el consumo inmediato que se puede hacer en el mismo segundo, a la llegada a la Villa.

El jugador brasileño ha sido infeliz la liga inglesa en la cual no ha brillado como le conocemos.

Los 32,5 millones de libras que pagó el equipo ingles fueron los más altos pagados en el fútbol de ese país en 2008.

“Robinho es alguien que necesita jugar con regularidad y le deseamos lo mejor estos  seis meses” dijo el entrenador del Manchester City, Roberto Mancini.

Anteriormente Robinho denunció sus ganas de abandonar la ciudad ya que no era feliz en el banquillo.

Su participacion en la Copa del Mundo se veía amenazada sino jugaba mas partidos y por eso ha optado por un tralalado temporal a su viejo equipo brasileño.

Robinho confirmó su salida del Manchester City y comentó que espera en los próximos días concretar su retorno al Santos. “Lo importante es ser feliz. El dinero no lo es todo. Aquí, Mancini dijo que yo jugaría un partido sí y otro no. Yo no acepté y le dije eso a él. Es un año de Mundial”, aseguró en una radio brasileño.

Se apuntaba que el destino de Robinho era el Barcelona, pero el jugador afirmó que su padre y empresario espera concluir esta misma semana las negociaciones para su regreso el Santos.

Parte del salario en el Santos será pagado por el Manchester City, dueño de sus derechos deportivos, y un grupo de empresarios socios del equipo brasileño.

El acuerdo entre el Manchester City y el Santos le permitirá al equipo inglés tener la primera opción por los juveniles Paulo Henrique Ganso, centrocampista, y Neymar, delantero, quienes en la actualidad son las principales figuras del conjunto del puerto paulista.

There have been a lot of rumors about the interest of F.C Barcelona on signing Robinho and lately these rumors are becomign stronger, Robinho could sign for Barcelona on December/January.However Barcelona coach insist that he’s not interested on signing any new player. After their draw at Champions League opponents Rubin Kazan in mid weeek Guardiola was asked about Robinho. Thats was his answer:”I have not even thought for half a second about a new buy.” ”I have an indestructible faith in my team. Robinho? When we do not win, it is always the day after the front pages of the newspapers run with his story.”

Robinho says City has to improve the defense and sign brazilian players

“We have good players but if the club wants to be big, we have to sign more,” Robinho told Setanta Sports. “I have suggested Kleber, the Santos left back, Thiago Silva who plays at center back for Fluminense, who’s been playing very well. The coach (Hughes) mentioned Luisao, who is Brazilian and plays for Benfica.”
“The team needs to improve the defense,” Robinho said. “When you build a house you have to start from the floor. You have to start from the bottom, the defense, and then you fix the attack.
“Who would I sign? If I could choose it would be Kaka and (former Brazil striker) Ronaldo.”
Robinho seems to forgot that he’s just a player and not the CEO or manager of the club, so these recommendations should have been done on private conversations and not to the press, as their current team mates could understand that Robinho is disrespecting them as players.

“City have good players but the mentality of a small side,” Robinho said. “They are content with just finishing fifth or sixth. They are content with little, thinking just a draw might be good enough. They lack is the mentality of champions. I have learned that being second is worthless so I want to inspire a winning mentality.
“You can only be content with winning. You need to want to beat Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. Maybe I have changed this a bit but now City have a project to become big, the mentality has to change.”

On past derby all the attention fo the match was maninly focused and Robinho and Ronaldo, but Wayne Rooney stole the show.

But after two successive derby defeats, United were in the mood to put their nouveau riche local rivals firmly in their place and did so with a ruthless efficiency which was not properly reflected in the slenderest of scorelines.
Only when Cristiano Ronaldo was dismissed with 21 minutes to go did United find themselves under any kind of pressure.
What this result showed is just how far City must improve if they are to realise their ambition of being on a par with the likes of United and challenging for the major prizes. On this evidence, they are years away from reaching that level.
